About Camp Jenny

Camp Jenny, held at URJ Camp Coleman every Memorial Day weekend gives children from an impoverished school in Atlanta the opportunity to receive the love of big “brothers and sisters,” three nutritious meals a day, and encouragement for the future. They also enjoy activities such as rock climbing, water play, science lab, arts and crafts, and a variety of sports and team building activities.

All of this to honor the legacy of our friend Jenny Rosenthal.

We are part of the family of Union for Reform Judaism camps and youth programs. URJ Youth provides young people with immersive Jewish experiences in North America, and around the world, including camps, Israel trips and social action/service learning travel programs.

 

NFTY is a Movement that builds strong, welcoming, inspired communities through teen-powered engagement. Together, we pursue tikkun olam, personal growth, youth empowerment, and deep connections, all rooted in Reform Judaism.

Our Movement was founded as the youth arm of Reform Judaism in 1939 at the urging of Women of Reform Judaism (then known as the National Federation of Temple Sisterhoods).

With over 850 congregations and 1.5 million Jews, Reform Judaism is the largest and most vibrant Jewish movement in all of North America.
